We import Type 302/304 stainless steel cable direct from Chinese mills so can control the quality but still keeps the price low. Each individual wire is solid stainless steel, not a coating like the galvanized. We have special 1x19 and 7x7 constructions in Type 316 stainless steel (it has a higher stainless alloy content and better corrosion resistance) under the cable railing tab. Type 302/304 is still somewhat magnetized but far less than galvanized cable. Another way to tell the difference is stainless has a brown or tan hue to the cable as opposed to a very bright silver in galvanized aircraft cable and can easily be seen if you lay them side by side. We can also include stainless thimbles and drop forged clips/clamps to make eyes or end connections and turnbuckles in the same box. Copper crimp sleeves and button stops work best on stainless cable as there is far less dissimilar metal electrolysis and so won’t corrode as aluminum will.
*Please note:
-this cable is NOT certified to be use in aircraft control applications.
-If being used in lifting application, the working load limit of the sling is 20% or 1/5th the minimum breaking strength shown above.
