Because of it's rough texture, manila is good for gripping and holding knots. It is used in the oil patch on drill rigs and by commercial divers for underwater construction. We also sell it for decorative fencing around lodges and homes. It is not as strong as other ropes and will biodegrade over time but has good high temperature properties compared to poly and nylon ropes.
